Technics SL-D202 – Two Speed Automatic Direct-Drive Turntable
The SL-D202 was a semi-automatic “front-control” direct-drive turntable manufactured by the Technics Corporation of Japan. It has many cosmetic similarities with the SL-B202, except that the SL-D202 is the direct drive version utilising the Technics high-torque “rotor-platter” motor. This turntable had 10% pitch control, and quick start-up time making it popular with DJs. It usually came with the EPC-U25 moving magnet cartridge. The replacement stylus/needle was EPS-25ES, or the equivalent EPS-25ES elliptical stylus.
